If you could browse through my CD collection you'd find a wide variety of musical styles. I listen to music quite a bit. We have classical pieces playing when we do our school. My girls' personal favorite is The Best of Tchaikovsky. On Sunday mornings I stick in one of the many Mormon Tabernacle Choir CD's I've accumulated. Mr. Ferrero Rocher especially enjoys Peace Like a River. And when I'm cleaning the house I like something upbeat like Bond's Shine. Then there's my fixed list of "go to's" that I seem to listen to ALL THE TIME.
1. Amarantine by Enya Good for quieting the kids down before bedtime.
2. Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs by Marty Robbins Fun to sing along to, especially when giving horsey rides.
3. Man From Snowy River Soundtrack Only my favorite movie of all time.
4. No Boundaries by The 5 Browns - Fun piano music by a great group of siblings
5. Classified by BOND - My favorite track is Lullaby
6. Songs of Praise by Paul Cardall - I especially love the instrumental of 'Come Thou Fount'
7. Pirates of the Caribbean Soundtrack
8. Closer by Josh Groban - It has my two favorite songs When You Say You Love Me and You Raise Me Up
9. Spirit of America by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir - patriotic songs to listen to every day of the year.
10. LAGQ's Latin Guitar music has always been a favorite
11. Legends by Phil Coulter & James Galway - Mr. Ferrero Rocher loves to turn this up load so he can't hear when the phone rings. Ashokan Farewell is phenomenal.
12. Doris Day's 16 Most Requested Songs - I think my girls have the lyrics memorized to all of the songs.
13. My Own CD mix - It has songs from Jewel (Hands, Life Uncommon), The Fray (How to Save a Life), Maroon 5 (This Love), Armik (Guitar Romance, Montserrat) and others
What does my list say about me? Do you find there are certain CD's you listen to over and over again?

Love Doris Day! Music is such a blessing. You have quite a diverse taste--that's great!
Hope you had a fun halloween!
Ohhhh Marty Robbins! Out in the west Texas town of El Paso.... greatest gunfighter ballad ever!
Enjoyed your list - and your blog looks delicious!
I absolutely LOVE Doris Day!! I have not heard of that collection but I am going to look for it.
I don't listen to cd's much, I usually listen to radio Disney or newer country music.
Your music picks say you like a little bit of very thing.
So interesting. I don't know any of that.
I have to admit I'm musically challenged. I love musica but never seem to know what to listen to. Maybe I will try to find some of the ones you've suggested.
I don't think I know any of those but it seems that your tastes are very widespread.
I think you would love Lex De Azevedo's Variations on a Sacred Theme. His version of Praise to the Man has bagpipes in it - very lovely.
My music choices would certainly date me.
(ha ha...I love it. Crainially charged comments...) These are GREAT music choices. But you don't need ME to tell you that. You already know they are great. My moods are very influenced by music so I tend to be a little eclectic too. :D
I would love for you to list all the songs on your CD mix. You have already inspired me with a few music choices I haven't heard of before! :-)
Oh I adore the soundtrack from "The Man From Snowy River"!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. If there is any way I can help see your dream realized, just say the word. Us chocoholics gotta stick together *wink
Wishing you Miles of Smiles :)
