For the next several days I will be posting about the World Congress of Families. This year it is being held in Sydney, Australia.  Remember how we helped to raise funds for Angela to attend? She is sending daily reports of the presentations, interviews she is able to have, and more. I am excited to share with you what she is experiencing. There are so many around the world - politicians, religious leaders, community organizers, trained professionals, and others - who are dedicated to defending the family. I will try to post each day's events in order so you are not reading them backwards as you scroll down. I have broken up Angela's summaries into several posts so it isn't overwhelming to see a HUGE post. Remember, if you have any questions you would like her to ask when she gives her interviews, leave them in the comments and I will pass them along to her.

Echoes From Our House Last Night

Debbie-Angel

Cookie's recitation of the second Article of Faith: "We believe that men will be punished for their own sins and not for Adam's ranch dressing." (It's supposed to be transgression).

While playing musical chairs....
Brownie: "Semisweet always wins because she uses her big hips to boot everyone off the chair."
Me: "She's just using the gifts she's been given."
Brownie: "Yeah, from her mother!" runs away giggling

While lying on the bed...
Fudge: Mom, why is your middle name dot?
Me: My middle's name is not dot. Where did you get that from?
Fudge: Yes it is! Montse dot {our last name}.
Me: laughing No my full first name is Montserrat but when you roll the r's it sounds like dot. People call me Montse as a nickname just like Pam is short for Pamela or Kim is short for Kimberly.
Fudge: Oh. I'm glad you're not named dot. That would be a weird name.
Me: thinking "And Montserrat isn't?"

  9. So cute...I love it when my kiddos do stuff like that!
We have a "say what" wall specifically for the funny things that are said around here. It's just a white poster board taped to a wall, and we all write on it.

  11. The Ranch Dressing thing cracks me up. ...totally not really related, but my daughter, who is 5 now, still calls Ranch dressing Ranch Up. You know, ketchup, syrup, ranchup.

And along the lines of mis-quoted things, I was all upset on Sunday because someone taught my 2 year old, Asher, that the words to "Ring Around the Rosie" are "Ashes, Ashes we all fall down" isntead of "Asher, Asher..." That was one I was happy to never correct!

Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done. ☺ There, don't you feel better?

Please leave a comment! I enjoy hearing your thoughts, whether you agree with me or not. If we all agreed on everything how boring would that be? Worse than eating white chocolate, because it's fake. So be real, be yourself.
