For the next several days I will be posting about the World Congress of Families. This year it is being held in Sydney, Australia.  Remember how we helped to raise funds for Angela to attend? She is sending daily reports of the presentations, interviews she is able to have, and more. I am excited to share with you what she is experiencing. There are so many around the world - politicians, religious leaders, community organizers, trained professionals, and others - who are dedicated to defending the family. I will try to post each day's events in order so you are not reading them backwards as you scroll down. I have broken up Angela's summaries into several posts so it isn't overwhelming to see a HUGE post. Remember, if you have any questions you would like her to ask when she gives her interviews, leave them in the comments and I will pass them along to her.

Resurrection Eggs Easter FHE

I posted our family's version of the Resurrection Easter Eggs last year. This past FHE swap the Resurrection Eggs were included in the Easter lesson put together by Cambria M. (hi Cambria!). This is the lesson she put together with the version of the Resurrection Eggs that I like the best. If you wish to do the eggs as a countdown to Easter you will need to gather your supplies and put everything together so you can start on Wednesday, April 1st. Another alternative is to hide them about the room, let the children find them, and then open the eggs in order reading the scriptures and discussing the items contained in each egg.

You could also put several Resurrection Egg kits together at family home evening and deliver them to friends and neighbors so they can use them as a countdown to Easter. It is a lovely way to share your testimony of Easter and the Resurrection with others.

There is a video link included in the lesson. I'm also posting it here for easier viewing.

For some reason the lessons are printing really big, cutting some of the images off. The best way to avoid this is to download the pdf file to your computer and then print it. You must have a Scribd account to download the file but it is free. To download click on More (next to Scribd in the upper left corner) and select Save Document.
Resurrection Eggs Easter Lesson Resurrection Eggs Easter Lesson Help your children focus on the real reason we celebrate Easter using this unique presentation telling the Easter story through Easter Eggs. There is a little bit of preparation involved to teach this family home evening lesson properly so be sure to read all the instructions.

Thank you so much. I wanted to send the Resurrection Eggs to my grandchildren, but couldn't find my set. And the crescent roll and marshmallow recipe is great.

  5. Okay, either I don't know how to use scribd or they changed their guidelines! I have a free membership and I can't download this! Am I just out of luck? I know you have all the time in the world to upload old lessons. :) Anyway, I'd appreciate any help or advice! Thanks!

Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done. ☺ There, don't you feel better?

Please leave a comment! I enjoy hearing your thoughts, whether you agree with me or not. If we all agreed on everything how boring would that be? Worse than eating white chocolate, because it's fake. So be real, be yourself.
