Have you ever taught a class of 3-4 year olds? It is always amusing. They can carry on conversations with you and in one second say something completely and utterly off the wall that has nothing whatsoever to do the the conversation at hand. The best part? They can totally follow each other.
I held up a picture of the Nativity. "Do you know who this baby is?"
"That's Jesus" said one boy as he sucked on his tie.
"Good. Do you know who his mother is?"
"Mary!" said the little girl.
Another little boy answered, "I'm scary! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr." while pretending to be a bear.
"Look what I can do!" bragged the third boy as he raced across the room.
"Well tomorrow I jumped this high!" Those boys started having a 'macho' fest in between answering questions, listening to stories about Jesus, coloring pictures, and singing songs.
And the little girl? She completely ignored them as she was enamored with baby Hershey. The only time she even spoke to the boys was to get after one for calling her a 'him.' She put her hands on her hips and yelled, "I am NOT a boy! You call me a her not a him." And then, then, she rolled her eyes. The boy looked a little dumbfounded, shrugged his shoulders, and went to go jump off a chair.

For the next several days I will be posting about the World Congress of Families. This year it is being held in Sydney, Australia. Remember how we helped to raise funds for Angela to attend? She is sending daily reports of the presentations, interviews she is able to have, and more. I am excited to share with you what she is experiencing. There are so many around the world - politicians, religious leaders, community organizers, trained professionals, and others - who are dedicated to defending the family. I will try to post each day's events in order so you are not reading them backwards as you scroll down. I have broken up Angela's summaries into several posts so it isn't overwhelming to see a HUGE post. Remember, if you have any questions you would like her to ask when she gives her interviews, leave them in the comments and I will pass them along to her.
