For the next several days I will be posting about the World Congress of Families. This year it is being held in Sydney, Australia.  Remember how we helped to raise funds for Angela to attend? She is sending daily reports of the presentations, interviews she is able to have, and more. I am excited to share with you what she is experiencing. There are so many around the world - politicians, religious leaders, community organizers, trained professionals, and others - who are dedicated to defending the family. I will try to post each day's events in order so you are not reading them backwards as you scroll down. I have broken up Angela's summaries into several posts so it isn't overwhelming to see a HUGE post. Remember, if you have any questions you would like her to ask when she gives her interviews, leave them in the comments and I will pass them along to her.

Printable Perpetual Calendar - thankful scripture verses

Is January 6th to late to post a printable perpetual calendar?

August

I didn't think so.

perpetual calendar

Perpetual calendars are great for just keeping track of birthdays, anniversaries, and other special dates without having to transfer those to a new calendar each year.

June

While these can be used in the traditional way, I created these two perpetual calendars with something a bit different in mind.

gratitude calendar

I used scriptures that speak of thanks and gifts, one for each month, in the hopes that these will be used to record the daily gifts from God that we each receive.

There are two different files. One using scriptures from just the KJV Bible (for my non-LDS friends) and one that also uses scriptures from the Book of Mormon and Doctrine & Covenants.

You can download them here: (click on each photo)

Keep each calendar separate or mix them together to create two calendars with thankful scriptures from the Bible, Book of Mormon, and Doctrine & Covenants.

When printed on high quality cardstock these make lovely gifts that can be given any time of year.

  4. Thank you for putting this together and sharing. They look great. I read Ann's book last year and have tried again and again to make giving thanks a daily thing but I get distracted. I'm grateful for another fun way to solidify good habits.

  8. So, are you supposed to write something that you are grateful for every day? Just wasn't to make sure I have the right concept.....

Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done. ☺ There, don't you feel better?

Please leave a comment! I enjoy hearing your thoughts, whether you agree with me or not. If we all agreed on everything how boring would that be? Worse than eating white chocolate, because it's fake. So be real, be yourself.
