Watercolor Autumn Art

Autumn is in the air! I can't wait for it to officially start. It is my favorite season of the year. Friday, for part of school, the kids and I created some simple watercolor Autumn art.

Start by painting splotches of red, yellow, orange, brown, and purple all over your paper. Let it dry.

Using black, paint the silhouette of a tree without its leaves. Easy!

Thick trees, skinny trees, twiggy trees all look good.

  2. I love really simple art projects that only require basic supplies like this. Sounds like fun! I love autumn too. Where I live things don't look much different in the fall, but at least it's cooler!

  4. Oh, I love it too! My six-year-old will enjoy creating a beautiful picture of "something" without pressure to do all the details a particular way. :)

    1. That's exactly why we love to do this! There are no "rules" and every picture turns out beautiful.

Put "eat chocolate" at the top of your list of things to do today. That way, at least you'll get one thing done. ☺ There, don't you feel better?

Please leave a comment! I enjoy hearing your thoughts, whether you agree with me or not. If we all agreed on everything how boring would that be? Worse than eating white chocolate, because it's fake. So be real, be yourself.
